Country music has found a home in New York City at Opry City Stage, one of Times Square’s newest attractions and a sister venue to the world-famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitors can enjoy both live and prerecorded performances while they dine on specialties like catfish and chips and Southern-style barbecue. The multilevel space also features celebrity photos, costumes worn by country-music greats and a songwriters’ performance space on the fourth floor.
The Hayes Theater—Broadway’s smallest, with just 597 seats, and home to The Merv Griffin Showin the 1960s and early ’70s—reopened this month after extensive renovations with a revival production of Lobby Hero, starring Chris Evans and Michael Cera.
